Dr. Jerry Robben grew up in Sharon Springs, Kansas. There he learned a strong work ethic, growing up working on the family farm. He attended Kansas State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He went on to attend graduate school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he received a second Bachelor Degree in Vision Science and his Doctorate of Optometry. During his externships, Dr. Robben had extensive training in binocular vision disorders and vision therapy. He also focused on pediatric care, contact lenses, low vision, and ocular disease. After his graduation he was recruited by a private ophthalmology practice in South Florida where he continued his training in ocular disease as the clinical supervisor of the practice and was in charge of their large student doctor externship program.
